FAQ

Lipomedix Contour treatments are designed to remove excessive fat and cellulite from localised body regions to help average to overweight men and women acquire an improved body contour and skin texture.  This treatment  is a non surgical liposuction alternative to patients seeking effective reduction of localized fat deposits without liposuction surgery.

The Lipomedix Contour liposuction alternative treatment is suitable for any body areas including the abdomen, love handles, angel  wings, bra straps, saddle bags, thighs, buttocks, chin, knees, arms and male breasts.

An average of 1-2 cm reduction in circumference can be achieved after a single treatment of the abdomen in most individuals. Multiple treatments result in incremental circumference reduction. Most ladies with cellulite will achieve a gradual long lasting improvement.  It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet during the treatment to maximise results.

Treatments are performed in MD  Cosmedical Solutions Clinics. The nurses mark and measure the areas to be treated.  The size of the treatment area, and the number of treatment areas will determine  the duration of  the treatments. The sessions may last between 30 minutes to 60 minutes. During treatment the Lipomedix Contour handpiece is held over the treatment areas. No anaesthesia or pain killers are required. Patients experience no pain or discomfort during and after treatments.

Treatments are performed on a weekly basis in most cases. They may however be performed more or less frequently.

As soon as the session is over, patients can immediately resume their daily routine. There is no recovery period and no downtime.  There is no post-treatment pain or discomfort.  There is also no bleeding, bruising or swelling after the treatment.

The treatment utilizes scientifically proven non-invasive combinational fat cavitation technology to destroy unwanted fat cells and to break down their fat contents. This revolutionary technology utilizes cryotherapy, laser lipolysis, and ultrasonic cavitation energies, combined to reduce fat deposits and cellulite. The focused energy selectively targets fat cells in the chosen body area without harming surrounding tissues such as the skin, nerves or blood vessels.

During the treatment, the membranes of the fat cells are disrupted. The fat cell content, primarily comprised of triglycerides, is dispersed into the fluid between the cells and then transported through the vascular and lymphatic systems to the liver. The liver makes no distinction between fat coming from the Lipomedix Contour treatment and fat originating from consumed food. Both are processed by the body’s natural mechanisms and converted to bile. This is excreted from the body naturally via the urine and stools.
